On the 34th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, the Warsaw School of Economics hosted an exhibition by Eduard Kryzhanovsky. Kryzhanovsky is the official photographer of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The exhibition was called 'Brave to be strong'. Representatives of the diplomatic corps and the Ukrainian community attended the event. The exhibition aimed to draw attention to Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine and consolidate support for Ukraine. It featured unique photographs documenting the period from the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion to the present day. They reveal the reality of war: pain and loss, courage and resilience, and the strength of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians. Photographs taken by the author on Snake Island — a symbol of perseverance and struggle where some of the fiercest battles took place — particularly resonated with viewers.
