KORTELISY HISTORICAL MUSEUM
The museum was opened on May 5, 1980, and tells the history of the village of Kortelisy, especially events related to World War II. The Kortelis tragedy on September 23, 1942, is a particular chapter in the village's history when almost two thousand civilians were killed. The museum also features materials about Soviet units and plans for expanding the exhibition. The exhibition concludes with stands commemorating the victims of Nazism and Vasyl Korneluk.
