ROZHYSHCHE MUSEUM OF HISTORY AND LOCAL LORE
The Rożyszcze Historical and Local Lore Museum was opened in 1977 through the initiative of Olexander Malyarchuk, Volodymyr Zasyadchuk, and Sergey Svystunov. In 1979, it was awarded the title "People's". The museum consists of 4 departments: nature, ethnography, history, and art. A unique exhibit is the rushnyk (embroidered towel) of Lyubov Fedosiivna Starikova, embroidered on white canvas using a fishbone in the Lutsk prison in 1944.. The museum is also dedicated to studying the history of the native region, including the UPA and deported Ukrainians. Currently, the museum houses over 3000 exhibits.
