SLAVUTYCH CITY AND CHORNOBYL NUCLEAR POWER PLANT MUSEUM
The Ethnographic Museum of the city of Slavutych and the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant presents exhibitions dedicated to the nature, history, and culture of the Polesian region. The main focus is on materials related to the history of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and the city of Prypyat, including the 1986 accident and its aftermath. The museum collection includes over 10,000 exhibits, including documents, photographs, and a model of the "Shelter" object in the exhibition hall "History of the construction of the city of Pripyat and the accident at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant." The "Construction of the city of Slavutych" hall impresses with sketches, author projects, and the State Prize of Ukraine for architects. In the "Ethnographic Sitting Room," ancient Ukrainian towels made by craftsmen from the Chernihiv and Ripky regions are exhibited, along with objects of everyday life of Pripyat residents before the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident.
