VOVCHAN HISTORICAL AND LOCAL HISTORY MUSEUM
The Historical and Regional Museum in Vovchansk, founded in 1912, is an important cultural center. At that time, the Volchansk district was considered the second largest in the Russian Empire in terms of development. The museum's collection, which includes over 4,000 exhibits, contains valuable items that belonged to the patron Vasyl Kolokoltsov's family. Unfortunately, during World War II, the museum was destroyed, but the collection was saved. Despite those present the military actions, the museum staff actively work on its restoration and additional projects.
