The municipal institution "Ochtyr Museum of City History" is the first among Ukrainian museums to have suffered damage due to the aggression of Russia. During the barbaric bombings and artillery shelling by Russia on the night of March 7-8, 2022, the museum building sustained serious damage from the shockwave. Many objects from the collection were damaged during this time. Thanks to multidirectional cooperation with international organizations in grant projects, the museum's collection has been saved and secured.
