Popasna Museum of Local Lore was founded on the basis of the former school-factory museum. The organizer and permanent head of the museum was the veteran of the Second World War, "excellent of public education", "honorary citizen of Popasna" - Semen Petrovych Iofe. Now the former school-factory museum has the status of a district local history museum.
