HULIAIPOLE LOCAL HISTORY MUSEUM
A municipal institution of the town council of Guliaypillia. The museum was established in 1989. It is housed in the historic building of the former Mutual Credit Bank, built in 1900. The museum has a collection of 18,000 exhibits. The museum presents the history of the region from the development of the area to the present day. The two-storey exposition is divided into 9 sections. Much attention is paid to the figure of Nestor Makhno, the famous leader of the insurrection in southern Ukraine. Today the town of Gulyaypole is in the zone of active hostilities and the museum building has been almost completely destroyed by the Russian occupiers. The exhibits have been evacuated.
