MUSEUM OF THE HISTORY OF THE TORETSK URBAN TERRITORIAL COMMUNITY
The Museum of History of Toretsk is located in the premises of the Palace of Culture "Ukraine"; in 1992 the museum received the title of "National". The collection consisted of 4,317 exhibits, including 322 unique items, 65% of which were on display. The museum has been run by volunteers since 1973. For almost 20 years, the director of the People's Museum of the History of Toretsk was Nadezhda Semenova, who devoted her whole life to the development of culture and museum life of the Toretsk community, but she died this year. It was a great loss for the community. After the full-scale invasion, a small number of exhibits were evacuated. In 2024 the museum was renamed from the People's Museum of the History of Toretsk to the Museum of the History of the Territorial Community of Toretsk. At the moment the city is destroyed, we can say that nothing remains of it. The Palace of Culture 'Ukraine', where our museum was located, was hit several times. In general, this is a very painful subject that can be talked about for a long time, and every time it breaks my heart and tears flow. But we don't give up and we keep going. https://www.facebook.com/61563909105474/
