CENTRAL UKRAINIAN REGIONAL MUSEUM OF LOCAL STUDIES, KROPYVNYTSKI
The Central Ukrainian Museum of Regional Studies is the successor to the oldest museum institution in the region, established in 1883 by Volodymyr Yastrebov, a teacher at the Yelisavetgrad Zemstvo Real School.

Today, the museum serves as a leading scientific and educational centre in Central Ukraine.

In addition to the permanent exhibition (History and Nature) in the main building, the Regional Museum of Local Lore operates seven separate structural units:
  • I.K. Tobilevych (Karpenko-Karyi) Reserve-Museum ‘Khutir Nadiya’;
  • Marko Kropyvnytskyi Memorial Museum;
  • Museum and Nature Reserve ‘Tobilevychi’;
  • Museum of the History of Ukrainian Choreographic Art;
  • Historical and Architectural Reserve ‘Holy Cross Exaltation Church’;
  • Regional Centre for Scientific Historical and Local History Research;
  • Black Raven Historical and Memorial Reserve.
