Makariv Historical and Local History Museum
The Makariv Historical and Local History Museum, founded in 1967, is located in the town of Makariv, Kyiv region, at 23 Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street. The museum is dedicated to the history and culture of the Makariv region, covering periods such as the Middle Ages, the Haidamaky movement, the events of 1905–1917, World War II, and the post-war life of the area. A separate exhibit highlights the life and activities of the prominent church figure Dimitry of Rostov (Dmytro Tuptalo).

Since February 1, 2016, the museum has been led by Vitalii Hets, a Ph.D. in history. Under his leadership, the museum has been actively developing, acquiring materials to protect its exhibits, and participating in exhibitions dedicated to significant historical events. The museum is situated in the Panskyi Park on the ramparts of the Makariv Castle, in the center of the town, making it easily accessible to visitors.
