The Museum of the History of the Village of Mykilske, part of the Vuhledar City Territorial Community, was established on a voluntary basis on December 30, 1982, by Tetiana Kasianova, a librarian by profession. Throughout its history, the museum underwent several changes in its status. In 2010, it was reorganized into a branch of the Volnovakha District Museum of Local Lore, and in 2020, it was transferred to the Vuhledar City Territorial Community due to administrative reforms in the district and region.

The museum's exhibition consisted of four sections. Currently, the territory where the museum is located is temporarily occupied.
