NOVOPSKOV REGIONAL MUSEUM OF LOCAL LORE
On December 28, 1962, the museum was established on public grounds. Since January 1, 1988, the Novopskov Local Lore Museum has been a branch of the Luhansk Regional Local Lore Museum according to the order of the Ministry of Culture of the Ukrainian SSR dated December 1, 1987, No. 595. Since 1993, there has been a permanent exhibition titled "Slobozhansky Courtyard of the late 19th century - early 20th century," dedicated to the traditional dwelling of Slobozhansky residents, their household items, tools, crafts, and decorative-applied arts. According to the decision of the Novopskov District Council dated November 29, 2013, No. 22/2 "On the establishment of the COMMUNAL INSTITUTION "NOVOPSKOV DISTRICT LOCAL LORE MUSEUM OF THE DISTRICT COUNCIL OF THE LUHANSK REGION." Since January 1, 2014, it has operated as a communal institution, with the abbreviated name "NOVOPSKOV LOCAL LORE MUSEUM." The museum is located in its own building and is classified as fourth category. The museum staff consists of 12.5 full-time employees. The museum collection has two main groups: the natural science collection, consisting of geological and paleontological collections, and the historical collection, consisting of an ethnographic collection, a collection of documents and photographs from the mid-19th century to the present day, and a memorial collection. The museum exhibition is divided into 6 sections and is built on the demonstration of individual collections based on the historical-chronological principle. The museum has two exhibition halls.
