STATE POLYTECHNIC MUSEUM IN KYIV
The State Polytechnic Museum named after Boris Paton at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is one of the largest Ukrainian technical museums and the largest university museum in Ukraine. In addition to the university's history, the exhibitions cover a wide range of technologies and engineering disciplines and consist of sections such as electronics, instrumentation, computer science, television, minerals, metallurgy, welding, mechanical engineering, industrial technologies, transportation, energy, telecommunications, firearms, aviation, and space exploration. The main exhibition occupies part of the sixth building of the KPI (building 6A), while the aviation and astronautics department exhibition is located in the adjacent aircraft workshop building (building 6B). The largest hall of the museum occupies the premises of the mechanical workshops, where external and partially internal elements of industrial architecture from the late 19th to early 20th centuries are preserved. Exhibits of open-air display are available for viewing on the adjacent territory.
