KAMIANETS-PODILSKYI STATE HISTORICAL MUSEUM-RESERVE
The Kamianets-Podilskyi State Historical Museum-Reserve was founded in 1890 and has 5 objects: The Old Castle, the Town Hall, the Art Gallery, the Museum of Antiquities, and the Exhibition Hall. The museum's stock collections contain about 175,000 exhibits. On the territory of the Old Fortress, you can see the expositions that recreate the pages of the history of the castle and the region. The castle has castle artillery, a torture chamber and the Living Fortress project, which includes a pottery workshop, a bakery and a shooting range where you can try your hand at archery. Kamianets-Podilskyi Town Hall, an architectural monument of the XV-XVIII centuries, is located in the centre of the Old Town. The second floor of the monument houses museum exhibitions. "The History of Magdeburg Law and Self-Government in Podillia, Kamianets-Podilskyi". The exhibition contains materials that reveal the history of Magdeburg Law in Podillia and self-government in Kamianets-Podilskyi. And the exhibition "History of Money". In the halls of the Art Gallery, which is located in the walls of an old building of the XVIII century, you will discover the secrets of art both of the present and the past. A wide variety of exhibitions are presented in 12 halls. You will find a part of the collections from the museum-reserve's funds, which have found a home in the premises of the former theological seminary. The Hall of Icons of the XVIII-XIX centuries, the Hall of Western European Art, the Hall of Folk Art, the Oil Pastels of Boris Nehoda, and the Tablets of Time exhibition. The Museum of Antiquities is located in the architectural monument of the XV - XVIII centuries - the House of the Armenian Bishop (former trading house). The museum's halls feature more than 1,000 exhibits. The exposition is located in 4 halls and the courtyard of the Armenian trading house.
